Greens: Hemoglobin is an iron containing protein, hence iron rich foods like green leafy vegetables (spinach, kale, collard greens, mustard greens etc) are valuable in increasing hemoglobin levels.

It depends...: This depends on whether you are deficient in iron, B12 or folate (folic acid); if so, then increasing your levels will increase hemoglobin; if not then it won't make a difference. There are no good vegetable sources of b12- you need to supplement with it. For good sources of iron see http://www.Vrg.Org/nutrition/iron.Php for folate (folic acid) sources see http://www.Whfoods.Com/genpage.Php?Tname=nutrient&dbid=63.

Listen man...: If you are anemic, the situation is extremely serious. Anemia has many different causes, but nutritional anemias in vegetarians are a sign that you have already seriously damaged your health. Despite all the huckstering, vegetarianism is a moral, rather than a health-promoting, choice. You MUST supplement -- B12 deficiency may already have given you brain damage. Your physician is your guide.
