Why is my b12 only 280 when i eat a lot of meat, fruits vegetables and dairy. i understand that 280 for a young adult who's not vegetarian etc. is low. i am also low b12 symptomatic. thank you?

B12 level can be low due to 2 reasons in your case. Either there is difficulty in absorption in the small bowel(Malabsorption) or defect in the stomach where a protein called intrinsic factor is produced, the latter is required for B12 absorption in the intestines. Do you have any other illness, such as stomach disorder or intestinal disorder??? Taking antacids daily is another possible cause.
