Compress it with a 4 inch ace bandage around the foot and ankle to prevent swelling and elevated 6 inches above the heart at all times to prevent swelling and try some over-the-counter anti-inflammatory medication as prescribed by the directions if not medically contraindicated do not exceed dosage. Take these with food get some crutches so you don't put all your weight on your leg and limit your walking distances . See your doctor monday if it does not improve. Good luck thank you.

Get That Checked: Pain, loss of function, & crepitus (crunchy sounding) usually spells a fracture. Sounds like you have at least a bad sprain which probably needs immobilizing with a splint.
