See below: By description, there has been hemorrhage in the subcutaneous tissues which accounts for the pain, swelling, and bruising. Trauma would be most likely but if there was no trauma, then it must have occurred spontaneously (less common but possible). Regardless, treatment is the same: elevation, rest, analgesics like acetaminophen, and time. When walking, support hose would help.

I came back from an 8-hour flight 2 weeks ago, a month after we took our departing flight of 8 hours. My left leg (thigh and calf) hurt but D-DIMER is negative. No swelling, no warmth, etc. I have two small bruises. Could this be DVT? Muscular pain?
Possible cause of 8/10 calf pain for 4 days, no dvt. No swelling, redness, bruising and no sports, no falls, etc. Pain began while stationary in bed.
