Hypertension: If your blood pressure is now in normal range from your medication do not stop taking it. The medication controls the blood pressure. It does not fix the condition. If you stop the medication your blood pressure will go back up. If you diet and lose weight and exercise sometimes you can lower your blood pressure enough to go off or decrease your medicine.

What?: BP medicines don't cure high blood pressure. They only work while you take them. When you stop them, they stop working. The only benefit you get from treating high blood pressure is when it's controlled for life. You get no benefit from temporary control. Your BP is good. Keep taking the meds that are controlling it if you want to benefit from the control. Yes?

Meds for BP: The goal of taking medication for high blood pressure is to keep the BP in normal range. Since your number is good, I do not think you should stop your med. It's important to always discuss any changes of your medication with your doctor.

No: It is normal because of your medication. If you stop it it will go high again. Being diabetic it is especially important to have good control of your blood pressure.
