Can cml be present with normal basophill count?

Not reliable enough : Basophils are not reliable enough on their own. We need clinical picture of leucocytosis and immature white cells in the peripheral blood and a bone marrow which shows philadelphia chromosome positivity. This is the only diagnostic test for cml.
