A member asked:

Is it normal for blood to be present in ejaculation?

Dr. James Lin answered

Here are some...: Blood in semen is called hemospermia, which, of no doubt, is caused by bleeding somewhere from the capillaries of the lining (mucosa) of genital tract including vas deferens, seminal vesicles, ejaculatory ducts or urethra resulting from various reasons such as inflammation, infection, etc. Such has terrified & puzzled many men & doc. Fortunately, experience has told us of being ok for most.
