Complete evaluation: A complete evaluation, including a history, physical exam and lab tests to exclude other causes for your symptoms. It is important to make sure you have an accurate diagnosis.

No way: There is no imaging study or lab test that diagnoses finromyalgia. It is a clinical diagnosis of exclusion. Depending on history and physical exam appropriate imaging and lab studies can rule out other disorders. Fibro will present as widespread pain with no other cause associated with muscle tenderness to soft touch, depression, anxiety, irritable bowel, headaches, cystitis, poor sleep etc.
