Restless leg syndrom: If by RLS you mean restless leg syndrome, check out http://www.Mayoclinic.Com/health/restless-legs-syndrome/ds00191 for more info. Generally, we think of RLS as affecting muscles, nerves & even brain via poor sleep.

Dopamine: Rls is thought to be caused by a shortage of Dopamine in certain parts of the brain. This syndrome is seen in a number of illnesses such as parkinson's disease and dementia with lewy bodies. Medications that effect serotonin can also lead to RLS as an unwanted side effect. Rls can also occur on its own. For unknown reasons iron deficiency can also cause it.

Unknown if brought on by pregnancy, but may have to due with shifts in body iron stores. In kidney failure it is due to depleted iron body stores effecting the brain due to anemia of chronic disease. For more details go to www.Ncbi.Nlm.Nih.Gov/pmc/articles/pmc3069701 for details on brain.
