Are any of the newer antidepressent that are out work better and faster then some of the older trust worthy type?

Antidepressants: Most antidepressants are equivalent in effectiveness against depressive symptoms, but side effect profiles are very different. Older (tricyclics, maoi's) are known for problems like sedation, heart rhythm disturbances, dry mouth, etc or dietary restrictions but still work well. Newer medicines often have less of these side effects but do have others. They all need about the same time for effect.
