Don't Rx a number: Ige level is largely genetic, not all that well understood, and the value itself isn't helping or hurting him. It's one piece of information in an allergy workup. If he has real allergies, you can be a big help. Best wishes.

Depends: He likely has allergies, asthma, food allergies or eczema, which can lead to an elevated ige. Address any of these issues with his doctor. Otherwise no specific preventatives are needed.
