Low bile &/or stones: Unfortunately up to 40% of people have ongoing pain after gallbladder surgery. We need bile to digest fats & without a gallbladder you don't have enough when you need it; taking bile often helps- see http://bit.Ly/163xp7v also. One may still have liver stones that were not removed; a liver flush can help- see http://bit.Ly/164quak many with gb problems also have food allergies that cause pain.

See your doctor: The gallbladder ejection fraction of 7% indicates a problem..Usually more chronic, which may well have contributed. It is possible to have more than one thing going on. There are a number of other things that can cause similar symptoms in the upper abdomen as well. Stomach and bowel are nearby and can also be the source of pain. See your doctor so they can help you isolate the problem.

Sphincter dyskinesia: Sometimes biliary colic can persist or recur for other reasons. Sphincter of oddi dyskinesia or spasm is another reason for similar pain. Spasm occurs at entrance of common bile duct into duodenum. Endoscopy with manometrical of bile duct is usually done for this probem. Hida scan imaging in right hands can also suggest sphincter of oddi dysinesia.
