Oral thrush: Oral thrush can be a result of antibiotic treatment or other medical problems. A visit to your pediatrician first for a general exam followed by a visit to a pediatric dentist would be recommended.

Probably not: Thrush is a fungal infection that usually occurs during a time of low immune response or when bacteria in the mouth is changed due to antibiotic use. Although it is possible that teething may occur with times of weakened immunity, if your child is getting recurrent thrush (candida) infections you should see a pediatrician.

Maybe: Thrush can occur during infancy and also teething happens about the same time. To prevent thrush make sure you are wiping your babies mouth out with a clean cloth after feeding and once an infant has teeth you can start to brush them.
