What's the average age you usually get diagnosed for asthma?

Two age groups: Childhood asthma is usually diagnosed from age 1 to teenage years. Adult onset asthma occurs in patients beyond the age of 18. Asthma has been known to occur even in older adults (greater than 75 years of age).

Any age: While most people with asthma and allergic disease are diagnosed at an early age (75% of rhinitis is diagnosed before age 45), there are some who are diagnosed much later in life. Were the symptoms present but not recognized? Were symptoms mild and ignored by the patient? Careful history taking can sometime answer the question.
