can you wear some mascara with a stye in your eye?

It's risky: You could but the stye is a sign your mascara reservoir could be harboring infectious bacteria. I would suggest you use hot packs consisting of a warm wash cloth or put a small potato in the microwave for one minute and then place that inside a wet wash cloth and put this on the stye for 10 minutes per day until the stye disappears. Alternatively, see an ophthalmogist for a prescription drop.

How do you care for a stye in your eye?

Warm Compresses: Warm compresses applied about 15 minutes on then off, 4 times a day, usually will help most simple stys. If not helping, see an eye doctor as one might need to have the lesion opened and they are the best doctors to take care of this. Antibiotics are generally only needed when a sty has turned into a more severe infection.

A : A stye is simply an inflamed oil gland in the eyelid. These are rarely infected and antibiotics usually don't help much. Warm compresses and gently massage help. Try putting a potato in the microwave for a couple of minutes and wrap a warm wet wash cloth around that. It will hold the heat longer than a wash cloth that was held under the hot water.

Stye on my upper eye waterline? Help?

Warm Compresses: A stye is usually caused by a blocked oil gland on the eyelid. Treatment includes warm compresses and lid massage over the bump to encourage the stye to drain. You should visit your eye doctor who might also prescribe medication which can help. In some cases an injection of medication can be helpful, and in other more stubborn cases a drainage via a minor surgical procedure in the office is needed.
