A member asked:

How do myopia and hyperopia differ from one another?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Simply put...: When a person is myopic or nearsighted, they can find a spot where they can see up close without glasses. The more myopic the closer they have to hold things and without glasses, the distance vision is blurry. Farsighted or hyperopia means the distance vision is better than the near vision, but does not necessarily mean the distance vision is good, just better than the near without glasses.
