Behavioral mgt: This is a complex question. Redirection is effective. Don't argue with the disease. Id violence is a problem, then there have been trials of female hormones(progesterone) and mood stabilizers. There are presently no meds fda approved for behavioral problems with dementia. However, a good clinician can help you manage this with a variety of approaches.

It depends: On why he is angry. Dementia and depression are highly associated, so perhaps antidepressants could help. But he needs to be evaluated by a geriatric psychiatrist in your area.
