Remember: There is no drug that is completely safe. Like many of these "neuroleptic" drugs they can affect the heart and movement system of the body. But by the same token, sometimes the benefits outweigh the risks. If this is the only medication that helps your father, then you have to work with its adverse effects too. Best of luck
