No: Flagyl (metronidazole) is used for the treatment of certain types of vaginal infections (bacterial vaginosis and trichomoniasis). It has no effect on the types of bacteria that generally cause a uti. Appropriate vaginal and urine cultures can best identify the presence and cause of these types of infections: vaginitis and uti.

Maybe: Depending on the bacteria causing the infection it could hepl but Flagyl is not normally used to treat a uti. If you think you have a UTI see your doctor and get a more definitive treatment.
