Not easy: A real UTI especially if documented by culture generally requires antibiotic. If it keeps recurring then you need a complete urological workup by a urologist.

A 22-year-old member asked:
Can a UTI go away without antibiotics?

Dr. Danny Proffittanswered
Family Medicine 43 years experience
Possible: If the UTI is attacked head on with forced fluids and you have a good immune response, it is possible to flush out the bactreia in the bladder and the body wins the battle. I would not count on this. If you have burning, pain, frequency of urination, need to go immediately, and cerainly if fever, back pain, nausea, chills or vomiting, get seen right away for a proper diagnosis and treatment.

A 64-year-old female asked:
Is macrobiotic a good antibiotic for recurrent uti?

Macrobid: This antibiotic is used quite commonly for treating Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs). The doctor should have a culture report that shows what antibiotics will work against the bacteria found in the urine. Sometimes a patient's allergies or the bacteria's resistance causes the doctor to choose a certain antibiotic. I've seen many patients get better on Microbid (nitrofurantoin). See doc if no better

Bladder infections: Good morning
i would advise you that there is little for uti's other than antibiotics. I am sure you are hydrating well and taking cranberry juice already?
But, the sooner you get this treated the sooner you will feel better.
