A member asked:

Will i know if my toddler has strep?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

With certainty, no.: Strep throat despite being considered a common disease is not as easy to diagnose as one might imagine. While certain physical findings suggest strep, without proper testing even experienced physicians can be fooled by appearance alone. Common symptoms for a toddler with strep are fever, diminished appetite, vomiting, foul odor to the breath, red throat, or pus on the tonsils or red rash--.
