A member asked:

Is it ok to mix amoxicillin used to treat strep throat in toddlers with juices and/or multi vitamins for enhancing the taste?

Yes, but the caveat: is that the toddler must consume all of the vehicle. However, i would avoid using lemonade, limeade, grapefruit juice and orange juice. Soft foods like apple sauce often work well. Generally, amoxicillin is well accepted by toddlers but, if you know that your little one won't take it, ask your pharmacist to add a flavor-enhancer directly to the bottle. Dr. Anne
