Inflammation: When is the last time you had a good, thorough cleaning at a dentist's office? If more than six months ago, now's the time to make a call for an appointment. You may be seeing the signs of periodontal disease.

Periodontal disease: Blood on toothbrush is a prime indicator of gum and bone disease. You will need to see a dentist for a complete exam & x-rays. He/she will determine what stage of disease you are at and an appropriate home care regimen as well as a course of treatment. Not treating it can take at least 10 years off your life.
