Possibly: Best to consult a plastic surgeon to determine the most appropriate treatment for your scar. My scar treatments are typically multimodality treatments. I will typically use injectable steroid, surgical excision, laser treatment and silicone based scar creams.

Maybe: The age of the scar is less important than your skin color or the nature of the scar. Consult with an experienced plastic surgeon or dermatologist to know for sure.
