Many reasons: Could be subconjunctival hemorrhage, scleritis, episcleritis, dryness, blepharitis. You should see an eye md who can evaluate you. If it is bright red blood that you are seeing, it is likely a subconjunctival hemorrhage, which will resolve on its own in a week or so.
