Infectious Diseases: Torchs tests for various unusual disease such as toxoplasmosis, other, rubella, cytomegalovirus, herpes, syphilis. Mowt persons do not get these diseases but if they do-they may endanger the fetus. Ob's always test for immunity to rubella and the test for syphilis is always done. Igg is an antibody that shows that the person was exposed at one time. Igm looks for a recent infection.
