Identify the Cause: Assuming that the sugar you are referring to is fructose which is one of the parameters measured on a semen analysis, treatment would depend on the underlying cause. Low fructose in semen is characteristic of ejaculatory duct obstruction, bilateral congenital absence of the vas deference, partial retrograde ejaculation and androgen deficiency.
