Thyroid: diffuse heterogeneity means size/thickness is different throughout. It is not smooth. May be related to graves disease,hashimotos thyroiditis.

The pituitary gland is somewhat heterogeneous but no well defined mass is seen. There are areas of heterogeneity with in the pituitary on both the sagittal and coronal reconstructions. Does this simply mean I have an irregular pituitary gland?
