Ganglion Cyst: This can be a ganglion cyst, which is a fluid filled sac that comes from the wrist joint. You can try a wrist brace, ice and over-the-counter anti-inflammatories. If the symptoms do not resolve you can consider an injection of cortisone.

Doesn't sound like: This doesn't sound like it. It may be more of a ganglion, or arthrits. Or an old fracture, tendonitis, etc.
