UCTD/MCTD: Undifferentiated, or mixed connective tissues diseases are conditions that can affect various parts of your body. This diagnosis is used when the findings aren't consistent with any one condition (such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, sarcoidosis, etc).

Acronyms: Acronyms for undifferentiated connective tissue disease and mixed connective tissue disease. The former is a category for a mixture of symptoms associated with connective tissue disease, but not specific for any one of them. Mctd is used in two ways. Some diagnose it because of presence of anti-ribonuclear protein antibodies, while others diagnoses on the basis of a combination of symptoms/signs.
