Can someone have a normal life with mctd?

Absolutely!: Mctd is the most benign of the connective tissue diseases. Most of my patients have little or no sx once the medications have time to work. You should be on hydroxychloroquine, most commonly 200mg bid. I do not see seriously ill mctd patients. Do not let a diagnosis frighten you! this a common issue in rheumatology: over-diagnosis.

Yes: Depends on correctness of diagnosis and how well it is controlled, attention to protection from side effects of treatment.

I had ANA labs done that show a 1:80 speckled ANA, Anti SM-RNP of 3.1, RNP of 1.1. Other labs are normal. I have no family history of autoimmune disease and currently no symptoms of MCTD. Does this indicate I have MCTD or it can develop?
I have MCTD w/ limited Scleroderma, I have Raynauds but I am noticing my second digit on one hand is almost always purple while my other digits react to my normal triggers, is this typical for Raynauds or indicative of something more?
