Why does using robotic surgery devices help physicians?

Better: You can have smaller incisions with less dissection (disruption of normal tissue), more accurate repair. The robot can hold and turn and move in ways that the surgion can not and it can do so in a much smaller opening.

Robotic surgery : It's better equipment. We get high definition 3d imaging, and laparoscopic instruments that have wrists that give use 360 degrees of movement. In addition, it allows us in som cases to make only one small incision and put multiple instruments into that one incision to do an operation (rather than 4-6 incisions).

Various reasons: The robot allows more flexibliity in the manipulation of the instruments used for surgical procedures. Generally the recovery is quicker and easier after robotic assisted surgery.
