What does it mean when I touch the top of my belly button it hurts, but when I don't touch it doesn't hurt? Could it be something serious?

Several things: Very localized pain at the top of your belly button could mean a small abscess (pimple). Is there any redness? Could be a small umbilical hernia. (Is there any puffiness?) If this has been going on for a long period of time, is is associated with other symptoms? Diarrhea, etc.? Most umbilical pain is related to bowel disorders, kidney disorders, infections, etc. Some can be serious. Check with Dr.

Something in it: If it hurts and bleeds, it means you have an active lesion in it, either an infection or a skin lesion. You'd better get it checked out by your physician to get the appropriate treatment soon.

May be hernia but: This may be a hernia but it may be OK and not a medical problem. If this is a new problem would advise you discuss with your physician
