what does it mean when your belly button hurts? throbbing feeling

1 doctor answer
Dr. Joy Jackson
18 years experience Family Medicine
You : You may have a umbilical hernia. This means that a part of your intestines may have come through a defect into your umbilicus(belly button) thus causing pain. You will need your doctor to examine you and possibly order an us if this is suspected. If so, you may need surgical intervention. Good luck.
