Hello. : Hello. I agree with dr oh. An umbilical hernia occure in the area of your belly button.The area can feel hard and protrude as well as being painful. It is important that you have this evaluated by a general surgeon. Take care.

You : You should see you doctor - it is possible that you might have a hernia around your umbilicus that can protrude and cause pain especially when you tense your abdominal muscles.
