Pedodontist: The staining might be coincidental since penicillin doesn't stain teeth. Have a pediatric dentist take a look. Your child might just need a prophy.

Stained Teeth: The penicillin is not causing the stain. Likely the four year old has a chromagenic bacterial discoloration or another medication staining the teeth on the outside. Are you rinsing with Chlorhexidine perhaps...That causes a temporary brown stain. The stain can be polished off at the dental office if so.
