Several issues: There are many issues here. First, it takes some time for antibiotics to work. Did you take penicillin on your own or was it prescribed for you? Secondly, the cause of the infection needs to be resolved. Merely taking antibiotics will not solve the problem. You also might have more than one issue. You need to see a dentist and have him\her diagnose and treat you accordingly.

See a dentist: The penicillin should help with the infection. However, be sure to see your dentist to evaluate what is causing the swelling. Once the antibiotic is gone, the problem will most likely return if the problem is not corrected, whether it be the tooth or a periodontal problem.
