Hemoptysis....: Coughing blood is called hemoptysis. The most common cause of hemoptysis is bronchitis but malignancy must always be ruled out. So, see your doctor asap if you cough up blood. If you smoke, you need to quit to decrease airway inflammation and your doctor can also help with this.
