No problem: Just avoid lifting, straining and squatting maneuvers. Air travel in of itself poses no increased risk. Get the hernia fixed as soon as you can.

No relationship : Elevation has no effect on a hernia, however if you are mountaineering, you will likely be far from medical care. If the hernia is painful, you should get it checked out by a doctor before climbing in order to get the best advice. Hope this helps!
