Only in recovery: You may continue to train, lift weights, and generally carry on with a hernia, as long as there's not too much discomfort. However, once a repair has been done, there will be a period of time, 1-4 weeks based on technique, when you may not lift more than 10 pounds or participate in strenuous exercise. Good luck.

Depends: You should limit your activity based on how you feel. If it hurts, take it easy. It is best to also have this checked by a doctor at some point - sooner if it is causing problems, at your convenience if it is not causing problems. Hope this helps!
