Is cipro (ciprofloxacin) good for acne?

Not long-term: Never use an antibiotic as sole treatment for acne. Your acne is likely to clear if you are taking an antibiotic for some other reason, but Cipro (ciprofloxacin) is poor maintenance. Topical Clindamycin with benzoyl peroxide is probably safer and cheaper.
