Cipro (ciprofloxacin): It's a good antibiotic if the bacteria causing the infection is susceptible to it. Cipro (ciprofloxacin) also belongs to a group of antibiotics, the fluoroquinolones, which has been shown to cause tendon ruptures in certain patients.

Cipro (ciprofloxacin): Cipro (ciprofloxacin) is a good antibiotic for certain organisms. It is not effective against all bacteria. It can have side effects just like any other medication can, too. Only use antibiotics when necessary and under the recommendation of your doctor.
