What's the difference between symptoms of spotting from bartholin's cyst or period?

No connection: There is no connection between a Bartholin cyst and vaginal spotting. A Bartholin cyst develops when the duct that drains mucus from the Bartholin's gland is clogged and makes the gland swell into a cyst. The Bartholin glands are situated on either lower side of the entrance to the vagina.
