Normal Pregnancy: Yes. Of course this is normal. I always advise my patients and female friends to get a book about being pregnant so that you have a ready guide on all that will happen to you while you are pregnant and this gives you power not to worry so much by learning what is normal.

Thanks for asking!: Nausea and vomiting are common in early pregnancy, most likely related to the amount of Estrogens formed by the placenta and fetus and the resulting cramping abdominal pain due to dehydration. Your baby is safe most of the time, but miscarriage can occurred too.
