Denial: There are no problems seeking disability benefits. You may get a denial and might have to wait or hire an attorney, but i see no problems you will face seeking disability. You may end up paying something as you get your paperwork ready to apply, though.

Your age: Disability is a legal determination that your previous work is not possible. At your age you are expected to retrain for a more suitable employment. As far as national social security determination, you are not eligible until you work for a qualified number of years (quarters).
