Mean cyst vs gland: Sounds like it may be an old sebaceous cyst with surrounding post-inflamatory hyperpigmentation. Either that or possible a sweat gland that had a bad day and your left with the sequela.

Sounds like: Inclusion cyst or folliculitis of skin, either case is not serious. If it gets infected, it might need excision.
