Call your insurance: Question on a physician-supervised diet to qualify for bariatric surgery: Great question! Find out exactly what your insurance requires--how many months, how many weigh-ins, etc. Also, what qualifies--sometimes just the doc including a diagnosis of morbid obesity and that you were counseled about weight loss at each visit is enough. Some insurances require much more detail from the doc.

Track it 1400: The cheapest and best way to lose weight fast is to use a calorie counter app like myfitnesspal. Reduce calories to 1400 per day. In the app track EVERYTHING that you put in your mouth. DONT take any cheat days or days off otherwise it will be less effective. Drink 2L of water per day. You may find that you will lose a lot of weight and you may not even need the surgery.
