Bleeding: This medication is used to protect the arteries after heart treatments (percutaneous proceedure). Any medication can cause allergy. (rash, itching, swelling lips/tongue, hives) major concern is bleeding. Blood in the mouth, urine, stool; coughing up blood, feeling light headed, severe headache, focal weakness, excessive bruising. You shouldn't take if you've had stroke or allergic to plavix (clopidogrel).
