Call cardiologist: As you know, effient increases the risk of bleeding, expecially in older patients. There are two issues here: first, she needs treatment for pain, for which she should not use NSAIDs and may need a low-dose narcotic. Secondly, you should ask if the dose of Effient should be modified. Call her cardiologist regarding both issues.
