Should i redo my cataract surgery?

No: In most cases cataract surgery is irreversible as the natural lens is removed and an intraocular lens is placed. If you are having problems after surgery, please see your eye surgeon. Good luck.

No: You cannot redo cataract surgery. The cataract is already removed and a new lens has been placed inside the eye. However, if you are having unexpected symptoms, it may be possible to address them. Some treatment options may require further surgery, but others may just require medical treatment. See your eye surgeon or seek another eye md for a second opinion.

IOL exchange or Yag: Once cataract is removed, it cannot be removed again, but if unhappy with the implant, it can be exchanged. If you have glare/halos after surgery or your eyeMD says you have posterior capsular opacity, you are likely a candidate for a Yag capsulotomy. More info: eyedoc2020@blogspot.com
